Lake Corumbá (Lago de Corumbá I) is an artificial lake formed by damming the Corumbá River in the south of the State of Goiás , Brazil . It is located 10 km from the city of Caldas Novas , famous for its thermal waters. The lake , which began filling in 1996, supplies the hydroelectric plant Usina Hidrelétrica Corumbá I. It is fed by the rivers Pirapitanga, Rio do Peixe, Rio Piracanjuba and Rio São Bartolomé. [1]
